My name is Marty Young. I am the current BCMS Dean of Student and Athletic Director. I grew up a Brave and graduated from BCHS in 2004. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Franklin College in 2008 while playing basketball. I have a masters degree in Leadership and a license in Administration. I started my teaching career at Medora Community Schools as a 6th grade teacher and varsity boys basketball coach for 3 1/2 years. Now I am back teaching and coaching in my hometown of Brownstown. I enjoy educating children and interacting with students through athletics. I love being a Brave.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Alicia McCrary and I am the Guidance Counselor at BCMS. I received my undergraduate degree from The University of Southern Indiana in psychology. I then went on to pursue a masters of education in school counseling from Indiana University. I have two sons and love spending time with family. I also enjoy coaching 6th grade Volleyball at BCMS. Hi, I am Brandon Allman, and I teach 8th grade language arts at BCMS. I earned my bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Southern Indiana in 2008. I began my teaching career at Thompkins Middle School in Evansville. The following school year in the fall of 2009, I was thrilled to be back in my hometown teaching at BCMS and being a BRAVE!! I absolutely love teaching and all the rewards it has to offer. Outside of school, I am extremely busy. I have been married to my wife Amanda for ten years now. I have two amazing children, Brielle 6 years old and Braxton 5 years old. I am the girls' varsity basketball coach as well as the girls' varsity golf coach. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, golfing, and hunting.

I am the BCMS Librarian teacher. Besides managing the library, I work closely with teachers, especially in language arts classrooms, to promote information literacy. My other responsibilities include organizing schoolwide academic competitions such as the Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, and Vocabulary Bee as well as coaching the Spell Bowl and Super Bowl Teams after school.

Hello! This is my 2nd year at BCMS. I have previously taught 1 year at Medora Elementary and 16 years at Mt. Healthy in Columbus. I am a graduate of IUPUI and have a masters degree from Olivet. My family and I have always lived in Brownstown and I, too, attended BCMS! I have a husband, Jason, and 2 sons Jaren and Kameron. I'm excited to be your 6th grade science teacher!

After graduating from Ball State University in 2003, I began my teaching career at BCMS. I have taught grades 6, 7, and 8 Language Arts classes but am currently teaching only 7th grade English Language Arts. I enjoy working with young people and learning from them as well.

Hello! My name is Susan Lawson and I teach 7th & 8th grade Language Arts. I graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with Jr. High/Middle School endorsements in Social Studies and Language Arts. I earned a Master's Degree in education from Indiana University Southeast. I have been a teacher with the Brownstown Central Community School Corporation since 1991.

I teach 6th grade reading/language arts. I received my bachelor degree from the University of Southern Indiana and my masters degree from Indiana University.

I am the Special Needs teacher for 6th to 8th grade. I work closely with teachers helping students complete homework in the Resource Study Hall and assist teachers to provide accommodations for the students.

Hi, my name is Ms. Jane Weisman. I have been teaching Health at BCMS for 15 years. I have also coached boys' and girls' tennis for several years. In addition to teaching & coaching I encourage my students to: *participate in Hoops for Heart, which is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. *participate in pop tab collection, which a fundraiser for The Ronald McDonald House. *collect Box Tops for Education, which helps fund BCMS tennis equipment purchases. Our last major purchase was $1300 ball machine...that's a lot of .10 box tops!

I am a 1997 graduate from BCHS. Following high school, I attended the University of Southern Indiana and graduated with a degree in Business Education. I continued my education with the University of Olivet Nazarene by earning my Master's in Education. In the summer of 2009, I worked to earn my teaching certification for Project Lead the Way through Purdue University. I spent my first nine years of teaching at West Washington Jr./Sr. High School and have enjoyed the last six years at the Brownstown Central Middle School teaching Project Lead the Way courses.
