BCMS

Friday, May 22nd will be the last day for students.

THANK YOU!

To close our final chapter to this year, I would like to end in the same manner I began, by expressing my appreciation.  Thank you for visiting our school’s website, following our activities and events, and showing your unwavering support for the students of our middle school this year.  From the opening day it has been a privilege for us to partner with you and your student(s) in their learning and growing throughout this year.

We wish the Class of 2030 all the best as they leave us for BCHS this fall.  We look forward to welcoming back the Classes of 2031 (grade 8) and 2032 (grade 7), and we look forward to welcoming our newest class to BCMS . . . the Class of 2033 (grade 6)!

TRIMESTER THREE REPORT CARDS

Student report cards for the third trimester will be sent home with students at the end of the day on the final day of school (Friday, May 22nd).
Please note: Students 2026 ILEARN summative results are not due to be released by the state until later this summer. Students will be receiving Indiana Department of Education Family Portal information (shared previously in October) for use later this summer as results are released.

THIS WEEK . . . THE WEEK OF MAY 18th

The final week of school is one that is always filled with nostalgia with what has been accomplished throughout the year.

As we enter this last, FULL, week, the regular BCMS class schedules give way to other “special” activities and events that are planned.  Those activities of note include the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade awards programs.

The 6/7 awards day program will be the morning of Thursday, May 21st.  As much as we would like to make this an open event to the public, seating capacity in the gymnasium will not allow for this.

The 8th grade awards day program will be the morning of Friday, May 22nd, and will be in the BCHS auditorium.  Start time for the program is 9:30AM, and this program IS open to the general public.  (The BCHS Auditorium doors will be open for guests beginning at 9AM.)

We anticipate that the awards program will last approximately 75-90 minutes.

At the conclusion of the awards program, there will be a time for picture taking for students and parents.  8th grade students will then return to the middle school to enjoy a pizza lunch together as a class.

As indicated, only 8th grade students will be participating in the 8th grade awards program.  However, should younger BCMS siblings of current 8th grade students desire to attend the program, we would encourage their attendance.  We would ask the parents/guardians of these BCMS siblings to sign these students out from BCMS prior to 9AM to leave ample time to arrive at BCHS for the 9:30 awards day program start.
